Check out this completed external timber cladding painting project in North London. Timber cladding not only needs to be painted/varnished periodically for visual purposes but also for protection from the elements.

On this exterior house painting job, we first removed or masked off any hardware such as letterboxes, locks, handles, bells... Then preparation of the timber for varnishing by cleaning and sanding was necessary. This allows for the varnish to penetrate the wood and adhere to it better as well as giving a nice smooth finish.

As with many exterior decorating, scaffolding was erected. Depending on the situation, this is usually one of the easiest ways to paint those hard-to-reach places.
